Artist Extraordinaire

My pal Amy Dabbs is one of my favorite artists and so talented that if she wasn't such a sweetie, i would be totally jealous of her! I don't think there is any medium that she doesn't excel at, she works with fabric, paint, canvas, found objects and more. Everytime I look at one of her pieces that I own or see on her blog or Etsy site, i have to take a moment and smile. They invoke feelings of whimsy and joy, and make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!.....
I am lucky enough to own 5 of her dolls, and the one in the above photo is my fave. I also own the wonderful painting attached to the wood tray with all the fun embellishments added. The other pics are some of her current work. I defy anyone to look at them and not go "ahhh, how sweet"!.........
To see more of her amazing pieces, take a look at her Etsy shop http://www.fairiehearth.etsy.com/ she only has a few pieces available right now but check back often to get the chance to have one of her special creations in your home! Also check out her blog...roses, radishes and rubbish..the link to it is in my blog list.
I look forward to seeing how she continues to grow and flourish as an artist.

Yikes Cheryl!! I am so glad to visit some of my old work and it inspires me to "revisit" some techniques I forgot about. You are such a sweetie and really, really appreciate your support, kindness and especially your friendship. I am having a tough couple of days here with my sweet guy who has Asperger's Syndrome, so this came at a good time. It is nice to feel like you can do something that will touch some one in special way. That's what I think about when I create and to try to give a teeny, tiny bit of happiness to some one in some very little way. Thanks again, lotsa hugs, Amy

Hi Cheryl- I popped over from Lori's blog. One of my favorite pieces I own is by you! I bought it at an art show many years ago. Happy to have found you here!!
