New creations

I have not been very productive due to another bad case of the stomache flu that had me down for the count for a few days. Thank goodness it finally passed and I was able to get back to creating....yeah! I brought out the pink again, I know twice in one year that I used pink....lol..., but I thought it was the perfect compliment to the pretty blue wood plinth.

I wanted to create a piece using some of the wonderful vintage lace I recently acquired. I wish the detail of the bottom piece of lace showed up better, it is so pretty and delicate. This piece was created on the back of a vintage photo album cover.

I just fell in love with these photos of the little girl and little boy and was so excited to be able to use them.

Hi Cheryl! Thank you for stopping by Woodstown Whimsies... I am holding out on "Gottfried" as my favorite "Souls of Joy" but "Sascha" is a close second! This has been such a fun series for me to work on. Thank you so much, for following the progress on these guys!

Your post today with the drawer pulls and photos of the little boy and little girl is wonderful! I love that you used the vintage child's block on this piece. So whimsical and heart-warming! Daryle

Cherly, at least ONCE a week I try to find a blog to join that is truly UNIQUE...and grabs my attention.....and your's is the one this time around..and here it is only MONDAY....I'm in trouble !

Your creations are just delightful..and I so love the colors you use. The blues and the tans.
Really like the one with the child in the white oval frame. is that the back of the album cover you refer to? It's wonderful...looks like it is made of tin.
