Fun-filled Friday

The stars aligned and fate stepped in and gave me a Friday free of babysitting. So my son, hubby and I went to the Columbus Zoo. My son wants to be a zookeeper, so we try to visit as many different zoos as we can. I love to photograph animals so it was a fun time for the both of us!

Here are some of my favorite photos..........

Otters are my absolute favorites, I ended up taking over 30 photos just of them, the guys had to pull me by the arm to get me away from them!
Afterwards we went to one of my favorite restaurants, Logan's Roadhouse. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day!

What is the animal in the third picture. Pretty pictures and so nice to have a great day off with your family.
I love your crafts. I have just ordered Rusty things off ebay and hope to see what I can create. Hubby says Oh great more Junk ( then he chuckles) thanks for sharing your treasures.

Hi Cheryl! Thanks so much... for the encouraging comments that you just left about "Steampunk Angel's" debut! This guy was SO much fun making! There are those pieces (I know, you know) that are just engaging and take on a life of their own. "Steampunk" was one of these. And zoos... We just took our 18 month old (walking and talking) grandson to the "Turtle Back Zoo" in West Orange, NJ last weekend. It is small (compared to Bronx or Philly) but what a wonderful zoo. You'll have to plan a family vacation and take it in someday! Thanks again... Daryle

Hi Cheryl, I am so glad that you got a day off! That's really amazing to me that your little guy wants to be a zoo keeper. He must be really bright as I have seen him interested in such a wide variety of activities over the years. :) Thanks for sharing the photos. xxooo
