Proud mama..

With Mother's Day approaching, I wanted to share the newest mama in my neighborhood. This sweet little robin had built her nest outside on the ledge of the garage window. When I went out yesterday to check on her eggs, they had finally hatched! Here are her 4 little babies, I know they are not the cutest things right now but I cannot wait to see them get their little feathers ,open those eyes and learn to fly!
Of course I had to name them, so in honor of my favorite book and movie, To Kill a Mockingbird, meet Atticus, Scout, Jem and Boo!

Cheryl, that is SO sweet...LOVE their names...that is my favorite book too...i read it at least once a year...i absolutely did not like the movie when i finally saw it recently...i generally like old movies...but this one did not do it for me...maybe because i have read the book so much, and i had preconceived notions about how the characters would look, act, and speak...

Hi Cheryl, What a sweet momma and babies! I love it when they cozy up to us and share like that. I have a job at a house with a shock of indian corn on the door, and on top is a new nest with 3 blue eggs. The bird looks like a swallow and she is stoic, never moving as I drive in and take pictures from afar. I love to be up close to nature!
Have a great week! Sherry
