A favorite Christmas gift....

My friend, the superbly talented artist Amy Dabbs, sent me this wonderful piece of art for christmas. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it on her blog, and when I inquired about it, it became my christmas present. How lucky am I??!! The detail and time she puts into every piece amazes me. I can sit for hours and just find more and more little bits and pieces that make me smile. Here is a close-up of this little one's face, don't you just love it!!

even the back is stunning, i love how it is covered with strips of fabric and wired to hang!!

and to top it all off, she sent me this beautiful tag, that was painted and then stitched on to a leather backing. So clever and amazingly detailed.
