Everything old is new again

On my last flea market journey I found some neat old "junk" and these are what I created with that 'junk'!.....

my favorite....

photo. I have had many old photos cross my path these past few years, but this one has to be my all time fav. I am not sure if it is a boy or a girl, I go back and forth all the time. What I love the most is the little downturned mouth and the eyes.
Was this little one sad, bored, not feeling well or just tired of the long process of getting their photo taken? I wonder about this all the time and my answer changes depending on the mood I am in.
For some reason this little one just speaks to my heart and I will treasure this photo always.

Anticipation.........

I am eagerly awaiting Spring's arrival so that I can see my most favorite flower, the daffodil, grow tall and open it's beautiful yellow petals... and smell the glorious scent of the hyacinth as it bursts opens
and to inhale the smell of the lilacs and enjoy their wide array of colors,

but for now I am content to see the pussy-willows as they open, they last for such a short time but they always let me know that Spring is on it's way!!

Just finished

These are the 2 pieces that kept me busy the past few days. I love the poetry snippets I found. I don't know what takes longer, putting everything together or reading all of my poetry books. I love both aspects though!!

frustration leads to...

Most of the time I can look through my piles of "junk", see a piece and almost immediately see in my mind exactly what I want to create with it. That was not the case with the latest creation I just finished.

I had found this great old, rusty metal lamp holder and was so excited to use it, however my excitement turned into frustration when I could not figure out how best to use it. One week later and after alot of tinkering and changes I think I am finally happy with it!

This is one of my all time favorite poems and I love using it whenever I can.

I hope these 2 little angels are happy in their new "home"!

Sleeping beauties...

My niece Ellie, one of the little ones I babysit for, won't take her nap upstairs because of the "monsters" so she curls up on the loveseat for her daily nap. My little Maggie who loves any opportunity to nap, sleeps with her everyday. They are so cute that I just had to share this pic!
